Engineering Capabilities

Centice has in house expertise in all major engineering disciplines and has developed all applicable core technologies.

• Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical engineering expertise ranges from high precision machine technologies required for optomechanical subsystems through 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks), sheet metal design, electromechanical design, FEA analysis and injection molded plastics design.
• Optical Engineering: Centice maintains resident expertise in optical design and analysis using optical CAD (Zemax) as well as systems engineering and theoretical modeling.

Technology Capabilities:

• Spectral Detection Range: Wavelength detection capabilities are limited only by the capabilities of CCD detectors and the optics of the system. Centice has developed systems that cover wavelength ranges from 190nm up to 1650nm using a specialized photocathode coupled CCD. Other detector technologies can be explored.
• Spectral Resolution: Resolution is determined by the design of the system (i.e. mask, optics and CCD). The theoretical limit of the MMS technology is 0.1nm.
• Throughput: Determined by the mask itself; typically more than 10x greater than a comparable slit-based spectrometer.

Manufacturing Capabilities:

Centice employs the JCIT International demand flow manufacturing system. The demand flow technology is a scalable, mathematically-based business strategy, specifically designed to allow manufacturers to respond faster and more efficiently to the needs of their customers and the marketplace.

TQC (total quality control) operation method sheets are incorporated and include documented test and assembly instructions to assure conformance to all requirements.
